Meet Your Acupoint Therapy Practitioner in Somerset West, Cape Tow
MY NAME IS LIAN LIU WANG

Lian’s
Story
Lian uses needle-free acupoint therapy, ultrasonic treatments, myofascial release and deep tissue acupoint techniques to help restore flow, ease pain, and support the body’s natural healing process through a holistic, hands-on approach. Her treatments are known to reduce inflammation, improve energy, ease fatigue and tension, and assist with lymphatic detox and digestive issues such as IBS or constipation, supporting complete mind–body balance..
Lian was originally trained as an architect and later retrained in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), two disciplines that share a love of balance, structure and careful observation. Today, she combines that design sensibility with classical TCM to help people feel well again through holistic healing therapies in Somerset West, Cape Town..
More than a decade ago, Lian became seriously ill. After surgery and ongoing digestive and inflammatory problems, she found that conventional medicine could manage her symptoms but not restore her health. Searching for a lasting solution, she returned to China to study TCM and acupuncture at Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Using what she learned, along with modern cellular nutrition, she gradually rebuilt her health and fully recovered — restoring not only her vitality but her energy flow and restful sleep after years of insomnia and fatigue.

That experience changed everything. Lian now practises the medicine that healed her and founded Lian Acupoint Therapy in 2023 to help others regain balance, relieve chronic pain, reduce inflammation, and feel energised and healthy again.

Lian’s approach
Lian’s method is simple: treat the person, not just the symptom.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) views the body as an interconnected energy system, when meridians or organs are stressed, the whole network is affected. Lian combines classical TCM principles with modern therapeutic tools to identify and address the root cause of discomfort rather than only managing surface symptoms.
Why does this works
By addressing both the energetic meridian system and physical factors such as fascia and inflammation, treatments support immune function, improve circulation, reduce chronic inflammation and promote lasting healing, not just symptom relief.

Assessment
• Traditional diagnostics: pulse, tongue and meridian assessment to map energy imbalances.
• Observations: movement, posture and fascia restrictions that point to mechanical or connective-tissue issues.
• Structural & lifestyle review: sleep, digestion, stress, diet and daily routines that influence recovery.
Acupoint Treatment
• Acupoint therapy to restore energy flow and reduce organ stress.
• Therapeutic massage to release fascia tension, improve circulation and reduce knot using Ultrasonic Multifunctional Device
• Nutrition and lifestyle guidance to reduce chronic inflammation and support long-term healing.
These elements are combined into a personalised plan designed to be practical and easy to follow.
